A little Guide to NMC Application Process for PHRN (Ex-Saudi PHRN)
Hello reader! Yes you… Hehe.. I guess you are one of those (ex-saudi) nurses who wants to continue their nursing profession in UK. That’s why you open this blog… Kekekekeke… Peace! Just kidding. Anyway, whoever you are, I hope this post will somehow help you, or your aspiring UKRN friends or relatives on how they will prepare and process their NMC Application and Assessment to get invitation for OSCE.

much as I want to write this in 100% Tagalog, I think there are some other
ex-saudi non-PHRNs who at some point will stumble on this post, so yeah…I’ll
write in English ft. Tagalog :P hehehe..

1. IELTS or OET??
Ahmmm,
OET?? IELTS?? – bahlakajan! ππ
Before you create an account in NMC, please
make sure you have met their ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT!
> IELTS
UKVI (Listening/Reading/Speaking = 7
/ Writing = 6.5 )
> OET (Listening/Reading/Speaking /Writing = B )
or check NMC’s
list here: (might be applicable to you)
NOTE: If you took OET, you still need to
take UKVI IELTS for UK Visa application, but don’t worry you will only need a
band score of 4 in all subtest. π (keribels na yun) Estimated Cost? OET: Php 25K
/ UKVI: Php 14K – so if you want
to hit two birds with one stone, you can Go for UKVI!
(In
my case.. Nachambahan ko OET πGod is good.. Dasal lang~ Manalig! Im
still hoping they will have deliberation also for IELTS Speaking band score like
what they did in Writing. Pray

2.
ELIGIBILITY

CONGRATS!!!
Now that you have passed your OET or IELTS, (Paburger
ka naman oh!) you can now create an NMC account! (for your NMC candidate number and Authorizaton
to Test (ATT )
For Nurses
Trained outside EU/EEA; RN1 Adult-General) >>> https://ireg.nmc-uk.org/Login.aspx
!!! After you finished this part, NMC will send
you an email to activate your account.
Prepare your info! You’ll
need to enter your personal details such as:
Name (First & Last Name)
Birthday
Valid
Passport ID
Address (same on your NBI clearance or Government IDs)
other
info:
Name of your local agency and UK employer/NHS Trust
You will also answer either Yes or No for your declarations (Health, Character, Training, English
Language) under Eligibility tab.
Ex:
You don’t
want to lie, do you?
Just click SUBMIT once you completed all your info and
declarations.
If you’re done, wait for another emails from:
π NMC - informing you that you have passed the
eligibility stage, and that they will send your details and Authorization to
Test (ATT) to pearson vue.
π Pearson Vue (PV) – (where you will schedule your Toc/CBT exam); included
in their email are your USERNAME and temporary PASSWORD for your PV account.
3. ToC EXAM PART 1 – aka
CBT EXAM
Congrats once again!! Let’s move on to the next stage!

Book and Prepare for your EXAM
Once you received the email from pearson vue, click the link
included in the email to schedule your exam >> click For test take >> Schedule an exam >> search for NMC >>
SIGN IN using the USERNAME and temporary PASSWORD given to you.
just click sign in and enter the username
and password sent to you. You can change
your temporary password after you have logged-in.
Some agencies do it for their applicants and even cover the exam
fee. But if you want a “DIY” thingy,
here’s how you can do it.
Prepare your VISA or MASTERCARD debit/credit card.
It will cost you £ 130
Once you have booked and paid for your CBT
EXAM, Study Study Study…
Please don’t forget to read THE CODE, blueprint, Royal Marsden book and many more π
Don’t be overwhelmed, I know there are a lot
of materials or readings that you might do.
Have Time frame and Review Schedule
Don’t memorize (all), UNDERSTAND! as you cannot memorized all with your given time
frame.
Please do search and read for CBT Review tips/materials
from other blogs around the internet, they are helpful.
Or you can attend CBT review offered by some
centers (e.g. Niner, ATS )

On
your test schedule:
Don’t forget to bring your Passport ID!
Arrived at least 15 mins before your scheduled
time.
You
can bring a printed copy of your schedule.
Instructions will be given to you before you
enter the examination room, including bathroom breaks.
You have 4 hours to complete the 120 items!
Ample time isn’t it? Use your time wisely.
(I had my exam at Pearson, Makati. They have their lockers their if you have brought a bag)
After
the test:
Pearson Vue will mark you either PASS or FAIL – you can check it 1-2 hours or more after you finished your exam by
logging in to your pv account.
NMC will send you a Congratulatory email as
well, proof that you have passed the ToC Part 1 or CBT exam.
NOTE:
If ever you fail, (wag naman sana)
you need to wait 28 days before you can book
for 2nd attempt.
If however you still didn’t pass the 2nd
one, you will wait for 6 months before you can schedule for another exam.

Just log-in to your NMC account, then click
your invoice.
You can use your MASTERCARD/VISA, debit/credit
card.
After payment you will now proceed to the next
step.
